
Dr. Kristina Galyon
Dr. Kristina Galyon is delighted to join OCMFM! She has returned to her hometown of Irvine, CA, following her 11 years of rigorous postgraduate training required as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist.
Her journey culminated with completion of her Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at Harbor-UCLA where she developed a strong interest in medical complications in pregnancy, fetal developmental programming, and prenatal diagnosis.
During her OB-Gyn residency at UC San Francisco (Fresno campus), she was awarded the “Jerome S. Harris Award for Academic Excellence” and the “Willie L. Brown Sr. Award for Outstanding Surgical Resident.” As a medical student, Dr. Galyon was awarded the Dean’s List as well as the “Touch Award” for excellence in community service. More recently, Dr. Galyon served as a district junior fellow chair for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition to her dedication to personalized patient care, Dr. Galyon loves to teach and serves as a clinical instructor at Harbor-UCLA. Outside of the office, Dr. Galyon loves spending time with her husband and two young children in addition to surfing, hiking, cooking, and yoga.
